RC2 PRODUCES REPLICA 1969 YENKO CAMARO EXCLUSIVELY FOR SUPERCARS,
PASSES 100,000 PRODUCTION MARK
Bolingbrook, IL (June 25, 2003)-Responding to collector
demand and replicating one of the hottest, baddest muscle cars ever
to smoke tires, American Muscle-a brand of RC2 (NASDAQ: RCRC)-is
producing a die-cast model of the 1969 Yenko Camaro featured in
the hit movie 2 Fast 2 Furious exclusively for Supercars. During
production of this car, Supercars will hit the 100,000 production
mark for American Muscle replicas.
Produced in beefy 1:18 scale and distributed by Supercars, the model
features hood and doors that open, detailed engine and interior,
and five-spoke wheels that look ready to go screaming off the line.
Best of all, according to Tom Zahorsky, Manager, Custom and Promotion
for RC2, the car features authentic Yenko graphics as seen in the
movie. "These are hot graphics for a totally cool car,"
he said, "and they help capture all the heart-pounding excitement
of 2 Fast 2 Furious. The 1969 Yenko Camaro model we're producing
for Supercars is a head-turner all the way, and I predict that everybody
who sees the movie is going to want one!"
The replicas will go on sale in August. Zahorsky added, "We're
all looking forward to a special milestone-at some point during
production of the 1969 Yenko Camaro we'll manufacture our 100,000th
American Muscle car for Supercars, and we'll be presenting the car
to Supercars so it can be added to their Hall of Fame."
